We are so excited to tell you that we’re teaming up with Yarn in the City (the awesome ladies who bring you the Great London Yarn Crawl, among other fabulous events) to host a World Wide Knit in Public Day (WWKIPDAY) event on West Hampstead Square!
WWKIPDAY is unique in that it’s the largest knitter run event in the world. Each local event is put together by a volunteer or a group of volunteers. The event has been running every year on the second Saturday in June since 2005. There were 1015 events last year in 57 countries. Wow!
So save the date, start planning a knitting project that travels well (we’ll have more ideas for you on that soon!) and tell your friends! We can’t wait to take over West Hampstead Square with you!
Here is what you need to know about our event:
Date: Sunday, 10 June
Time: 11am – 2pm
Where: West Hampstead Square (in front of The Village Haberdashery)
How to register: Find out more about our event and sign up here or email us at [email protected]
How to get there: We are just steps from the West Hampstead Underground, Overground and Thameslink stations. The 139, 328 and C11 buses stop in front.
