A close up on our Anna Maria Horner vignette!

When the super talented and lovely Anna Maria Horner joined us in our West Hampstead shop to teach back in August, her truly stunning Floral Retrospective quilt was pinned up on our display wall and we just fell in love with it! We were totally inspired to create a vignette with her fabrics.

Her fabrics have such amazing striking colour and her Color Dive quilt pattern is the perfect choice to show them off!

I (Kym) have used fabrics from the Floral Retrospective collection, as well as some Annie had in her stash from the original Good Folks collection.

They work so well together and I’m super happy with how the chevron blocks of colour have worked out.

On the back is Kona Cotton Solids – Curry and a scrappy stripe of Floral Retrospective fabrics.

It is bound using pink bias binding.

I have only done a little ‘in-the-ditch’ quilting on this as I didn’t want to make it any more ‘busy’, but taking inspiration from our teacher Jenny Haynes, I may add a little hand quilting to it eventually too… what do you think?

The lovely Alice made our Anna Maria Horner lady’s dress and isn’t it just perfect!

Pattern is The Avid Seamstress Day Dress and fabric is Floral Retrospective – Overachiever in Velvet.

This is such an elegant pattern, perfect for every-day wear or dressing up.

We love the beautifully fitted bodice and handy pockets.

This would be the perfect choice to bring along to one of Charlotte Newland’s Fitting Classes or Guided Studio Time sessions!

Hanging above our display we have added even more colour with some fun Tissue Paper Pompons! These can be found in our Party Supplies section!

We hope you enjoyed reading about our most colourful vignette yet!
