Stitch Improv with Carina Envoldsen-Harris

Availability: In stock

In this class you will learn how to create a narrative on patchwork, combining it with embroidery, appliqué techniques and various embellishments. We will start the class by putting together a patchwork base and then we will transfer a floral/botanical pattern onto this base. You will be able to choose from three different patterns - or draw your own.

Inspirations from poems, your favourite film, names of plants or even the name of someone you love can all be incorporated along with lovely buttons, ribbons and other stitchy ephemera to create a personal piece. The finished piece can be used in lots of ways, for example: as part of a cushion cover, in a mini quilt, framed in a hoop or appliqued to a tote bag.
